Trees, Shrubs, and Woody Vines of North Carolina. A listing of all known native and naturalized species with common names and frequency estimates, plus many photos and descriptions. Includes subsections for Durham County, Orange County, Wake County, and the Duke Forest FACE site.

Tree key. Summer key to the trees of the Durham area. I put this together (adapting from several printed keys with a broader range) to help folks in our lab identify the local trees. Please feel free to test it out in the field and let me know if you have any suggestions or encounter any problems. It doesn't cover the rarer species.
