Nandina (Nandina domestica) leaves

A multiple-stemmed medium-sized shrub with very large ternately compound evergreen leaves.

Native to Japan, China, and India, this popular ornamental frequently escapes. Sometimes called Heavenly-Bamboo or Sacred-Bamboo, though not related to bamboo.

The bright red berries appear in fall and last throughout the winter.
