About Me

I am a third year PhD student at Pratt Engineering School of Duke University working with Dr. Michael M. Zavlanos. I graduated with double B.Sc. degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2013. I am interested in application of mobile robots in solving real-life problems. Particularly, my research interests include:

  • Autonomous Network Systems
  • Robotics and Active Sensing
  • Control Theory
  • Distributed Optimization
  • Inverse Problems

Currently, in collaboration with Dr. Wilkins Aquino, we are aiming at solving large-scale Inverse Problems using a multi-agent network. We are interested in developing practical algorithms particularly tailored for mobile robots, with limited resources, and validating our theoretical results in experiments. This project is an interdisciplinary research involving control theory, advanced optimization, and numerical computing.
