Index Components: The index is composed of stocks representing nine economic sectors (as of 7/l/93): Capital Goods (6.0%), Consumer Durables (4.2%), Consumer Non-durables (25.4%), Energy (5.3%), Financials (I 8.7%), Materials and Services (19.7%), Technology (12.5%), Transportation (2.4%), and Utilities (5.8%).

Limited Exercise: European style: Options contracts can only be exercised on the last business day prior to expiration.
Expiration Cycle: Three consecutive near-term expiration months plus three additional months of the March cycle. Longer term options may be available.
Premium Quotations: Stated in dollars and fractions. One point equals $ 1 00. Minimum tick for series trading below $3 is 1/16 ($6.25), and for all other series, 1/8 ($12-50).
Exercise Prices: Exercise (strike) prices are set at five-point intervals to bracket the current value of the index. Exercise prices set at 2 1/2-point intervals may be available. New exercise prices are added as the index moves.
Expiration Date: Saturday immediately following the third Friday of the expiration month.
Last Trading Day: Two business days prior to expiration (normally Thursday).
Settlement Exercise: Cash settlement is based on the dollar difference between the final settlement value of the index and the option exercise price multiplied by $ 1 00. The index final settlement value is determined on the last business day prior to expiration, based on opening prices of the component stocks.
Settlement: Next business day following expiration.
Settlement Value: Opening index price calculations (reported as WSO) on Friday prior to expiration date.
Position Limits: 37,500 contracts on the same side of the market, with no more than 22,500 of such contracts in the series with the nearest expiration date.
