Porcelainberry (Ampelopsis brevipedunculata)

Also known as Amur Peppervine, Porcelainberry is an invasive deciduous vine native to Japan and China. The grape-like fruits turn from green to lavender and blue as they ripen.

Chapel Hill, NC 9/30/05.

Porcelainberry (Ampelopsis brevipedunculata)

The fruits are quite ornamental, but Porcelainberry does not make a good garden plant since it aggressively spreads from cultivation.
