This exhibit centers around Alonzo Felder's maternal great grandfather, A. S. J. Allen (a bigger than life father, preacher, teacher, and community leader, who had his life taken by a neighboring farmer), and grandfather, Ned E. Felder (a WWI veteran, who made headlines by being accused of disloyalty to the US). The artists use these dignified and diverse images of African Americans and legal documents to teach our contemporary society many lessons about respect, the importance of elders, faith, and other themes (picture shot date 12-Feb-2012)
