^1:1 Y FUÉ que a los treinta años, en el mes cuarto, a cinco del mes, estando yo en medio de los trasportados junto al río de Chebar, los cielos se abrieron, y vi visiones de Dios.
ENG. In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the exiles by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

ENG. As I looked, a stormy wind came out of the north: a great cloud with brightness around it and fire flashing forth continually, and in the middle of the fire, something like gleaming amber.

ENG. Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled like burnished bronze.

ENG. As for the appearance of their faces: the four had the face of a human being, the face of a lion on the right side, the face of an ox on the left side, and the face of an eagle;

ENG. such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above; each creature had two wings, each of which touched the wing of another, while two covered their bodies.

^1:12 Y cada uno caminaba en derecho de su rostro: hacia donde el espíritu era que anduviesen, andaban; cuando andaban, no se volvían.

ENG. In the middle of the living creatures there was something that looked like burning coals of fire, like torches moving to and fro among the living creatures; the fire was bright, and lightning issued from the fire.

^1:16 Y el parecer de las ruedas y su obra semejábase al color del topacio. Y las cuatro tenían una misma semejanza: su apariencia y su obra como rueda en medio de rueda.
ENG. As for the appearance of the wheels and their construction: their appearance was like the gleaming of beryl; and the four had the same form, their construction being something like a wheel within a wheel.

ENG. Wherever the spirit would go, they went, and the wheels rose along with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.

ENG. When they moved, the others moved; when they stopped, the others stopped; and when they rose from the earth, the wheels rose along with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.

ENG. When they moved, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of mighty waters, like the thunder of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army; when they stopped, they let down their wings.

^1:25Y cuando se paraban y aflojaban sus alas, oíase voz de arriba de la expansión que había sobre sus cabezas.

ENG. And above the dome over their heads there was something like a throne, in appearance like sapphire; and seated above the likeness of a throne was something that seemed like a human form.

^1:27 Y vi apariencia como de ámbar, como apariencia de fuego dentro de ella en contorno, por el aspecto de sus lomos para arriba; y desde sus lomos para abajo, vi que parecía como fuego, y que tenía resplandor alrededor.
ENG. Upward from what appeared like the loins I saw something like gleaming amber, something that looked like fire enclosed all around; and downward from what looked like the loins I saw something that looked like fire, and there was a splendor all around.

^1:28 Cual parece el arco del cielo que está en las nubes el día que llueve, así era el parecer del resplandor alrededor. Esta fué la visión de la semejanza de la gloria de Jehová. Y luego que yo la hube visto, caí sobre mi rostro, y oí voz de uno que hablaba.
ENG. Like the bow in a cloud on a rainy day, such was the appearance of the splendor all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of someone speaking.

^2:1Y DIJOME: Hijo del hombre, está sobre tus pies, y hablaré contigo.

ENG. He said to me, Mortal, I am sending you to the people of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me; they and their ancestors have transgressed against me to this very day.

^2:4Yo pues te envío a hijos de duro rostro y de empedernido corazón; y les dirás: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová.

^2:5Acaso ellos escuchen; y si no escucharen, (porque son una rebelde familia,) siempre conocerán que hubo profeta entre ellos.
ENG. Whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house), they shall know that there has been a prophet among them.

^2:6 Y tú, hijo del hombre, no temas de ellos, ni tengas miedo de sus palabras, aunque te hallas entre zarzas y espinas, y tú moras con escorpiones: no tengas miedo de sus palabras, ni temas delante de ellos, porque son casa rebelde.
ENG. And you, O mortal, do not be afraid of them, and do not be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns surround you and you live among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words, and do not be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.

ENG. He said to me, Mortal, eat this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it. Then I ate it; and in my mouth it was as sweet as honey.

ENG. not to many peoples of obscure speech and difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, if I sent you to them, they would listen to you.

^3:7 Mas la casa de Israel no te querrán oir, porque no me quieren oír a mí: porque toda la casa de Israel son tiesos de frente, y duros de corazón.
ENG. But the house of Israel will not listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me; because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

ENG. Like the hardest stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not fear them or be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.

^3:10Y díjome: Hijo del hombre, toma en tu corazón todas mis palabras que yo te hablaré, y oye con tus oídos.

^3:11 Y ve, y entra a los trasportados, a los hijos de tu pueblo, y les hablarás y les dirás: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová; escuchen, ó dejen de escuchar.
ENG. then go to the exiles, to your people, and speak to them. Say to them, "Thus says the Lord GOD"; whether they hear or refuse to hear.

ENG. Then the spirit lifted me up, and as the glory of the LORD rose from its place, I heard behind me the sound of loud rumbling;

^3:13 Oí también el sonido de las alas de los animales que se juntaban la una con la otra, y el sonido de las ruedas delante de ellos, y sonido de grande estruendo.
ENG. it was the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against one another, and the sound of the wheels beside them, that sounded like a loud rumbling.

^3:14 Levantóme pues el espíritu, y me tomó; y fuí en amargura, en la indignación de mi espíritu: mas la mano de Jehová era fuerte sobre mí.
ENG. The spirit lifted me up and bore me away; I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit, the hand of the LORD being strong upon me.

^3:15 Y vine a los trasportados en Telabib, que moraban junto al río de Chebar, y asenté donde ellos estaban asentados, y allí permanecí siete días atónito entre ellos.
ENG. I came to the exiles at Tel-abib, who lived by the river Chebar. And I sat there among them, stunned, for seven days.

^3:17 Hijo del hombre, yo te he puesto por atalaya a la casa de Israel: oirás pues tú la palabra de mi boca, y amonestarlos has de mi parte.
ENG. Mortal, I have made you a sentinel for the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.

^3:18 Cuando yo dijere al impío: De cierto morirás: y tú no le amonestares, ni le hablares, para que el impío sea apercibido de su mal camino, a fin de que viva, el impío morirá por su maldad, mas su sangre demandaré de tu mano.
ENG. If I say to the wicked, "You shall surely die," and you give them no warning, or speak to warn the wicked from their wicked way, in order to save their life, those wicked persons shall die for their iniquity; but their blood I will require at your hand.

^3:19 Y si tú amonestares al impío, y él no se convirtiere de su impiedad, y de su mal camino, él morirá por su maldad, y tú habrás librado tu alma.
ENG. But if you warn the wicked, and they do not turn from their wickedness, or from their wicked way, they shall die for their iniquity; but you will have saved your life.

^3:20 Y cuando el justo se apartare de su justicia, é hiciere maldad, y pusiere yo tropiezo delante de él, él morirá, porque tú no le amonestaste; en su pecado morirá, y sus justicias que había hecho no vendrán en memoria; mas su sangre demandaré de tu mano.
ENG. Again, if the righteous turn from their righteousness and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before them, they shall die; because you have not warned them, they shall die for their sin, and their righteous deeds that they have done shall not be remembered; but their blood I will require at your hand.

^3:21 Y si al justo amonestares para que el justo no peque, y no pecare, de cierto vivirá, porque fué amonestado; y tú habrás librado tu alma.
ENG. If, however, you warn the righteous not to sin, and they do not sin, they shall surely live, because they took warning; and you will have saved your life.

^3:22Y fué allí la mano de Jehová sobre mí, y díjome: Levántate, y sal al campo, y allí hablaré contigo.

ENG. Then take an iron plate and place it as an iron wall between you and the city; set your face toward it, and let it be in a state of siege, and press the siege against it. This is a sign for the house of Israel.

ENG. And you, take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt; put them into one vessel, and make bread for yourself. During the number of days that you lie on your side, three hundred ninety days, you shall eat it.
