Here is a view of the refugium before I removed the DSB from it. As you can tell most of it has gone bad. I did not have enough flow through it to keep it from going bad. I decided to remove it that weekend. It had a hard crust about an inch below the surface. Below that the sand was still soft, but a grey colour. Right now the refugium is pretty much used as a sump.
