Social Science at the Duke University Marine Lab
Marine science and conservation has traditionally been considered the realm of the biological and physical sciences. Increasingly, governments, NGOs, academics and others concerned with ocean and coastal ecosystems recognize that human systems (economic, cultural, political, and social) are integral to those ecosystems. I am one of several social scientists at the Duke University Marine Lab contributing to an inter-disciplinary teaching and research program, and this site details my activities. Thanks for visiting.
