The meteoroid was 55 feet in diameter.
That's the same size as the egg sketched in around the duck at left being towd on the Thames.

Compilations
Actually, the unedited raw footage is much more interesting for studying the delay between the fireball and its shadows, the shockwave and individual explosions, the human and cultural reactions and the responses from dogs, birds and car alarms.

Selections edited and artistically set to music, following the chronology from the fireball, the cloud, the shock and aftermath. Unfortunately, in recreating the event, some of the original long sequences have been cut and the clips spliced in elsewhere.

Worth watching carefully. A couple sees and comments on the fireball and later hears the explosions. They pull off the road with other vehicles to watch and turn on the radio to hear the news.

Unfortunately,
the interval between the fireball and the shock has been edited out.

The moving shadows from the poles in these two videos provide enough data to triangulate the trajectory of the meteor.

Hand Held Camcorders
People brought out their camcorders after they saw the fireball and filmed the cloud. But the peaceful silence was interrupted by the shock wave which caused many videographers to drop their cameras. After the "boom" one can hear more explosions which sound like gunfire.
