The meteoroid was about 55 feet in diameter, the size of the egg drawn around
the duck being towed by a barge on the Thames in London.

Compilations
Compilations have their uses, although the unedited raw footage is much more useful for studying the fireball and its shifting shadows, the delay between the fireball and
the shockwave, the individual explosions and the reactions from dogs, birds, car alarms and people. |
|
#300: Selections edited and set to music, following a rough chronology from the fireball, through the cloud, the shock and aftermath. Unfortunately, the original soundtrack is gone and the long sequences have been cut and spliced. (15 minutes). |
#115: A compilation of silent residential security cameras with scenes not seen elsewhere. (1 minute 10 seconds) |

#13: Worth watching carefully. A couple sees and comments on the fireball and later hears the explosions. They pull off the road with other vehicles to watch and turn on the radio to hear the news. |

Camcorders
People ran for their camcorders after they saw the fireball and filmed the cloud. But in minutes the peaceful silence was interrupted by the shock wave. Videographers dropped their cameras. The inital loud "boom" was followed by explosions that sounded like gunfire. |
