| Herzlich willkommen! I have been at Duke University since 1994, where I have taught German language, literature, and culture in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures. I have served as Director of the German Language Program since my arrival here, and subsequently also served as Director of Undergraduate Studies and most recently as Chair of the department. My research interests are in the fields of 20th century German theater, second language acquisition, and foreign language and critical pedagogy. |
