Parsley Hawthorn (Crataegus marshallii)

Most common in swamp forests, this petite hawthorn is recognized by its deeply-lobed parsley-like leaves, small flowers, and small fruits. The thorns are relatively innocuous. Craven Co., NC 9/3/03.
