Coastal Plain Willow, Carolina Willow (Salix caroliniana)

Common in the Coastal Plain of North Carolina, the Coastal Plain Willow is similar to Black Willow (Salix nigra) but shorter in stature (a large shrub) and with whitish leaf undersides.
