Bessie Williams Harden

Thursday (Nov. 17, 1988) in the emergency room at St. Anthony's
Hospital. She came here in 1923 from her native Alachua. She was a
member of McCabe United Methodist Church, where she formerly served
as secretary. She was co-owner with her late husband, Sidney Harden
Sr., of Harden Grocery Store #1. Survivors include her daughter,
Bettie Harden, and three stepsons, Roosevelt, Robert and Sidney
Harden Jr., all of St. Petersburg; a brother, Major Williams, St.
Petersburg; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchidren.
