7.Nutshell

In a nutshell, urban nature does not solve, to any appreciable extent, our looming carbon dioxide and global warming problems. I also maintain great doubts that urban trees significantly reduce air pollution, or that they provide a particularly cost-effective approach to reducing residential energy use. Seemingly, the two primary benefits of urban nature involve enhancing the social welfare of people’s lives and helping alleviate the environmental problems associated with stormwater runoff. In other words, “Hold your water and watch nature.”
