Atila Abdulkadiroglu's research on school choice has led to the design and implementation of better admissions policies in school choice programs in the US, including Boston and New York City. His current research also contributes to the evaluation of education policies and understanding demand patterns in schooling.

Short Biography:
Atila Abdulkadiroglu joined the Department of Economics at Duke University in the Fall of 2006. He taught at Northwestern University and Columbia University before coming to Duke. He received his PhD in Economics at the University of Rochester. His research has led to the design and implementation of better admissions policies in school choice programs in the US, including Boston and New York City. His current research also focuses on policy evaluation in education and understanding demand patterns in schooling. He is a recipient of an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship and a National Science Foundation CAREER award. Abdulkadiroglu serves as an Editor-in-Chief of Review of Economic Design.
